General And Preventive Dentistry

Preventive care is the foundation of long-term oral health. Regular examinations, professional cleaning, early diagnosis and practical home-care advice can help keep teeth and gums healthy and identify concerns before they become more complex.

a)Dental Examination

A thorough check-up focused on prevention, early diagnosis and personalised care.

A routine dental examination allows us to assess your teeth, gums, bite and soft tissues, monitor changes over time and identify concerns at an early stage. Where clinically required, we can use digital X-rays, panoramic OPG imaging, CBCT 3D imaging or intraoral scanning to support diagnosis and treatment planning.

When it may be recommended

  • Routine monitoring of teeth and gums

  • Tooth sensitivity, discomfort, broken teeth or changes in your mouth

  • Reviewing existing fillings, crowns, bridges or other dental work

  • Planning restorative, cosmetic or orthodontic treatment

Key benefits

  • Early detection of dental problems

  • Clear explanation of findings and treatment options

  • Preventive advice tailored to your individual risk

  • Access to digital imaging and scanning when clinically indicated

What to expect

1. We discuss your dental concerns, history and any changes since your last visit.

2. Your dentist examines your teeth, gums, bite and oral soft tissues.

3. Digital imaging or scans are taken only where they are clinically useful.

4. We explain the findings and, if required, provide a personalised treatment plan.

b)Oral Hygiene & Gum Health

Healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy smile.

Plaque and calculus can build up around the gumline and contribute to bleeding, inflammation and gum disease. Our gum-care appointments focus on assessing gum health, professionally removing deposits and helping you build an effective home-care routine. Private patients may also choose Airflow® air polishing for additional plaque and surface-stain removal.

When it may be recommended

  • Bleeding, red, swollen or tender gums

  • Plaque or calculus build-up

  • Persistent bad breath or a bad taste

  • Receding gums or areas that are difficult to clean

  • Ongoing maintenance following periodontal treatment

Key benefits

  • Removal of plaque and hardened calculus

  • Improved gum health and freshness

  • Personalised brushing and interdental-cleaning advice

  • Ongoing monitoring of areas at risk

What to expect

1. Assessment of your teeth, gums and oral-hygiene needs.

2. Scale and polish or more detailed periodontal cleaning where indicated.

3. Optional Airflow® air polishing for suitable private patients.

4. Tailored home-care and recall advice.
